Kalaburagi Deputy Commissioner Ikram Shariff has directed the Kalaburagi City Corporation to ensure that all sanitation workers and sanitation staff undergo a master health check-up by the end of the week and prepare a schedule for completing the exercise.

Chairing a district-level meeting of sanitation workers at his office in Kalaburagi on Wednesday, Mr. Shariff said the health and safety of sanitation workers should be given top priority. He directed officials to examine private insurance and Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) benefits and take steps to ensure maximum health coverage for workers.
