Monsoon winds to affect weather across Nepal, rain forecast

KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently experiencing the influence of both a western low-pressure system and monsoon winds.

The weather is generally cloudy across the hilly and mountainous regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces, with partial cloud cover reported in the remaining parts of the country.

Light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is occurring in some areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as isolated locations in Koshi, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces.
