Veteran actor Nana Patekar died at the age of 75 in the early hours of Thursday, October 8, after suffering a cardiac arrest at his residence in Goa. Now, a video from what is being reported as his last public appearance has surfaced online. It shows the actor attending a cultural event in the state just days before his death.

Patekar was in Goa on Sunday, October 4, for the state’s Goa Tourism Day celebrations. During the event, the actor interacted with local artists and participated in the cultural festivities.

Visuals from the programme show Patekar playing the traditional shamel, a percussion instrument associated with Goan folk traditions. He was also seen enjoying a performance of the dekhni, a traditional Goan dance form. Dressed in his familiar white kurta-pyjama and carrying a white gamcha, Patekar appeared relaxed as he engaged with the artists. A video was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user with moniker @Herman_Gomes.

Nana Patekar Dies At 75 After Cardiac Arrest

Patekar died at around 5:20 AM on Thursday following a cardiac arrest at his Goa residence. The death was confirmed by Dr Shekhar Salkar, Chief of the Department of Oncology at Manipal Hospital, who shared the information with ANI.
