Nancy Guthrie Case Latest Update Today: The case of Nancy Guthrie is back in the spotlight due to the discovery of a skull bone in Oro Valley, Arizona, on October 7 that is suspected to belong to a person. This has happened over eight months since the disappearance of the 84-year-old mother of Savannah Guthrie, TODAY’s anchor.

According to the Oro Valley Police Department, the bone was found in a wash area close to Vistoso Park and Innovation Park that are located in the northwest direction from the Oracle and Tangerine intersection point.

According to police officers, the bone is likely to be a human one, although no other fragments were found in that area. The bone fragment has been given to the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner for further investigation while authorities have not yet said whether it is connected to a missing person.
