Six companies shirking construction blacklisted

Jumla, Oct 4: Six companies contracted for construction and upgrading of road along the Karnali Highway have been blacklisted for violating the contract. The companies were contracted to maintain the roadway en route to Manang-Mustang from Jumla as well. The Public Procurement Monitoring Office took action against them.

Chief of the Road Division Office in Jumla, Shravan Kumar Mahatara, informed that the Jumla Office initiated the report against the construction enterprises and forwarded to the Head Office in Kathmandu for action. The Binamra Construction Service of Surkhet, which was contracted for building roadway to be effective from fiscal year, 2075 to 2080, was blacklisted for three years.

The Dhruba Building Service, Birendranagar was in the list to face action with two year's suspension from procurement service and the Abinash Construction Service of Chhayanath, Mugu for one year. The blacklisting aligns with Clause 63 of Public Procurement Act, 2063.
