HUMLA: Continuous rain and heavy snowfall at Hilsa, a northern border point in Humla, have stranded 41 Nepalis.

According to Immigration Officer Bimal Poudel, movement along the Hilsa-Taklakot route was halted, trapping residents of Namkha Rural Municipality Wards 1, 2, and 3 who operate businesses in Taklakot. The group arrived in Hilsa last Friday and remains stuck due to worsening weather.

The severe snowfall prompted Chinese authorities to suspend border crossings for the Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage.
