US-Israel-Iran War Latest Live News: With the US-Iran conflict continuing to shape security and energy concerns across the region, President Trump has now drawn a clear timeline for any possible fresh American military action. Trump said Thursday that the United States would not attack Iran before the November 3 midterm elections, while claiming Washington and Tehran are engaged in “productive discussion.”
The statement comes as tensions remain high around the Strait of Hormuz and the US blockade of Iranian ports stays in place. Trump also said oil was still moving through the key waterway, while reiterating his warning that Iran would not be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon.

“We are having productive discussions with the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Trump wrote.
He said the US blockade of Iranian ports would continue, describing the measure as remaining in full force. Trump also portrayed Iran as being in a severely weakened economic and military position.
“I want to make it clear to everybody that, while Iran is in very bad condition, both Economically and Militarily, and while the Blockade will remain in full force and effect,” he said.
Trump then gave a specific commitment regarding further US military action ahead of the elections.
“We will not be attacking Iran at any time prior to the Midterm Elections to be held in the United States on November 3rd,” Trump said.
The announcement effectively rules out a new direct US attack on Iran during the period leading up to the November congressional elections, although it does not signal an end to the wider confrontation or the existing blockade.
