US-Israel-Iran War Latest News: JD Vance, the vice president of the United States, has stated that Iran will have to make a “meaningful” cutback in its nuclear enrichment capabilities before America agrees on ending the current seven months of war. This was revealed by Vance in an interview exclusively granted to Reuters. He added that America is ready to enter into negotiations but wants Iran to do something tangible.

US-Israel-Iran War Latest News: What Did JD Vance Say About Iran’s Nuclear Programme?

According to Vance, a successful deal to put an end to the war had to be contingent upon a reduction in Iran’s nuclear enrichment capacity. He asked why Iran needs to have enriched uranium at 60%, if it does not plan to use it to build a nuclear weapon.

“If you don’t want a nuclear weapon, why do you need 60% enriched fuel? And if you’re really serious about not building a nuclear weapon, don’t build enriched fuel. That is the most basic threshold question,” Vance explained.
