The Canadian poet and essayist Anne Carson has been honored with the Nobel Prize in Literature for the year 2026, thereby emerging as the latest winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature, which is among the most prestigious awards in the field of literature. “The Nobel Prize in Literature 2026 is awarded to Canadian poet, essayist and author Anne Carson for her bold and inventive oeuvre that, in playful dialogue with the classical tradition, has created new forms for contemporary literature.” The award includes an amount of 12 million Swedish kronor, which is worth approximately $1.2 million.
