Who Is Chet Hanks?

Chet Hanks, whose birth name is Chester Marlon Hanks, was born on August 4, 1990, in Los Angeles. He is the eldest son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson. His younger brother is Truman Hanks, while Colin Hanks and Elizabeth Hanks are his half-siblings from Tom Hanks’ first marriage to Samantha Lewes. Like his parents, Chet pursued the entertainment industry.

He studied theater at Northwestern University and initially explored music under the stage name Chet Haze. He released music while he was a student, including the 2011 track “White and Purple,” a remix inspired by Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow.”

What Movies And TV Shows Has Chet Hanks Appeared In?

Chet made his acting debut in the 2007 movie Bratz, playing Dexter. He later appeared in films including Larry Crowne, Project X, Fantastic Four and Greyhound, the latter starring his father, Tom Hanks. His television work includes roles in Shameless, Empire, Your Honor and Atlanta.

He played Charlie in Shameless and rapper Blake in Empire, while his later credits include Your Honor and Running Point.
