KATHMANDU: Nepal’s judo player Punam Shrestha has been eliminated from the 20th Asian Games taking place in Japan.

In today’s match held at Aichi International Arena in Japan, Punam was defeated by Indian player towards women under 70-kg category.

With this, Nepal has been defeated in five categories, out of seven categories of judo matches it has been participating.

Four Nepali judo players were eliminated from first-round in the match held on Wednesday.

Similarly, Sujan Gurung is competing in the match today towards under 90 kg category. Nepal will also compete towards mixed team events.
