KATHMANDU: The second session of the House of Representatives has concluded after running for 62 days. During this period, the House held 68 meetings, accumulating 277 hours and 30 minutes of parliamentary proceedings. The session successfully passed 12 bills, including those replacing ordinances.
Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal stated that the session, which commenced on May 10, saw the registration of 35 government bills. Key legislation passed includes the House of Representatives Member Election (First Amendment) Bill, Voter List (First Amendment) Bill, Finance Bill, Appropriation Bill, and the Money Laundering Prevention (Third Amendment) Bill. Currently, 20 bills remain under consideration in various parliamentary committees.
