Incessant rain disrupts rural roads in Humla

HUMLA: Transportation along both major and rural roads has been completely halted following floods and landslides trigged by recent incessant rains.

Damage has been reported on the Simkot-Hilsa road, the Karnali Corridor, and rural roads across all seven rural municipalities of the district, says Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shankar Khadka, Chief of the District Police Office.

He however noted that collecting full details of the damage is proving difficult due to power outages at the district headquarters.
