India delays naming new envoy as Ambassador Srivastava concludes Nepal tenure

KATHMANDU: Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava is set to return home upon concluding his diplomatic assignment in Kathmandu, with Deputy Chief of Mission Rakesh Pandey slated to assume temporary charge of the embassy.

Srivastava formally took office as India’s envoy to Nepal on June 25, 2022.

A member of the 1993 batch of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), he began his career in Hong Kong before handling bilateral affairs in Beijing, serving as Counsellor (Political) in Washington D.C., and working as Consul General in Shanghai.
