Veteran actor Nana Patekar died at the age of 75 on Thursday, October 8, after suffering a severe cardiac arrest in Goa. The actor was reportedly found unconscious at his residence in Dona Paula and was rushed to Manipal Hospital.

Doctors tried to revive him for around 45 minutes, but he did not respond to the treatment. Patekar was declared dead at 5:20 am.

Dr Shekhar Salkar, Chief of the Oncology Department at Manipal Hospital, told news agency ANI that doctors continued CPR for 45 minutes but could not revive the actor. “Despite 45 minutes of continuous CPR, he could not be revived. A medico-legal case (MLC) has been registered, and a post-mortem will be conducted,” Dr Shekhar Salkar told ANI.
