Taylor Swift clearly knows how to make a birthday memorable without making a big production out of it. The pop superstar quietly joined Dakota Johnson’s 37th birthday celebrations after the actress hosted Saturday Night Live this weekend, but managed to keep her arrival almost completely under the radar.

After making a surprise appearance during Johnson’s SNL monologue earlier in the evening, Swift reportedly slipped into the star studded after party at L’Avenue at Saks without using the venue’s main entrance. According to a report by Page Six, the singer stayed for only about an hour, turning up with close friends Cara Delevingne and Ashley Avignone.

Swift apparently did not exactly want to announce her arrival to everyone outside the venue.

A source told Page Six, “Taylor came, but didn’t use the L’Avenue entrance,” adding that the singer was there for “about an hour.”

Once inside, however, she was very much part of the birthday crowd. According to Page Six, Swift was seen eating French fries while sitting at a table next to Johnson’s setup.

“Everyone was crowding around for Dakota’s birthday,” the source added. “The vibes were great.”

So, while Swift may have made sure her entrance was low key, she did not exactly hide from the celebration once she was inside.

Johnson’s birthday celebration also had plenty of SNL energy surrounding it. According to Page Six, members of the Saturday Night Live cast helped celebrate the actress with oversized silver balloons spelling out her name.
