US President Donald Trump has given contrasting messages about the status of the war with Iran, saying the United States is doing well while also indicating that the conflict could end soon.
Trump’s latest remarks came after he said on Tuesday that the US was doing “extremely well” in Iran and that Washington still had to decide how it wanted to bring the conflict to an end.

On Wednesday, Trump gave a more definitive assessment of the conflict, saying the war had been won from the perspective of what the United States needed to accomplish.

“It’s a war that’s been won from the standpoint of what we have to do,” Trump said.
However, he also indicated that the conflict was not necessarily over immediately.
Trump said, “It’ll be over very quickly,” while discussing what could happen once the fighting ends.
Trump Says Oil Prices Could Fall After War Ends
Trump also linked the end of the conflict to global oil prices.
He said that once the war ends, “oil prices will come tumbling.”
