Autumn poetry meet features noted poets

By a Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Oct. 6: The ‘Sharadiya Kabya Milan 2083 (Autumn Poetry Meet 2083), organised by the Nepal Academy, featured a large presence of representative poets from across the country reflecting various geographies, ideologies, and literary movements.

According to the Academy, the event was organised to continue the tradition of Nepali poetry with the onset of the autumn season and to connect contemporary poetic consciousness on a single platform.

Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Khadga Raj Paudel ‘Ganesh’, was present as an audience alongside book lovers at the event held during the Nepal Academy’s book exhibition.

During the ceremony, poets Narayan Dhakal,  Binod Bikram KC and Biswa Sigdel read out their poems.

Similarly, Asmita Badi, Ishwara Siwa, Umesh Akinchan, Jyoti Jungle, Amar Deep Sunuwar, Dolma Lama, Prakash Thamsuhang presented their subversive poems.
