KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma has stated that the party will continue to support Gagan Thapa for the presidency in the upcoming 15th general convention.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Sharma noted that the party has successfully transitioned its leadership from an 80-year-old president to a 50-year-old one and intends to maintain that momentum.
Sharma described the 15th general convention as the beginning of a new chapter for the party. He expressed confidence that the Congress would emerge stronger and more vibrant, reflecting the aspirations of the younger generation. He highlighted that a significant portion of the nearly 35,000 delegates present are youth, describing their participation as a new source of energy for the party.
