Nana Patekar’s Final Hours Revealed: Actor Messaged A Friend At 2:30 AM, Doctor Details What Happened Before His Cardiac Arrest

Veteran actor Nana Patekar died at the age of 75 on Thursday, October 8, after suffering a cardiac arrest at his residence in Goa. In the hours before his death, the actor had messaged a friend saying that he was not feeling well. The message, sent at around 2:30 AM, was not seen immediately as it was late at night. By the time the friend reached Nana’s residence around 4 am, the actor’s condition had deteriorated.

Nana was later taken to Manipal Hospital where doctors tried to revive him for several minutes. Dr Shekhar Salkar, Chief of the Oncology Department at Manipal Hospital, has shared details with ANI of what happened during the actor’s final hours.

Nana Patekar Messaged Friend At 2:30 AM

According to Dr Salkar, Nana had contacted a friend in the middle of the night and informed him that he was unwell. The friend did not see the message immediately and later went to Nana’s residence after contacting him.

“Somewhere around 2.30 am, he sent a message to his friend that he was not feeling well. But as it was nighttime, his friend could not see the message. So, he just called him. He (friend) went to his house at around 4 o’clock.”

By then, Nana was reportedly sweating and gradually losing consciousness. His caretaker was then contacted for help, following which an ambulance and an emergency medical team were sent to the residence.
